Can we conduct online exams in multiple languages?
Yes. Eklavvya supports multilingual delivery in three ways:
| What | How it works |
|---|---|
| Questions in two languages | Exam option Conduct exam in 2 languages with a primary and a secondary language. Each question has secondary-language text or image. |
| Exam interface language | Labels and buttons of the candidate exam interface in English, Arabic, French, Hindi, Marathi, Kyrgyz, Spanish, Azerbaijani or Russian (Organization Profile → Logo & Theme → Enable Regional Exam User Interface). |
| AI interviews and skill assessments | AI interviews run in the chosen language (questions translated, voice filtered by language). Skill assessments support a primary and a secondary language. |
The language setup is decided by your institute when the exam is created. Eklavvya support cannot switch it for an individual candidate.
For admins: bilingual exam
- Add each question with its secondary-language version (text or image) in the Question Bank.
- In Exam Management → Exam Creation, enable Conduct exam in 2 languages and set the primary and secondary language.
- Schedule and assign as usual.
For the interface language, see Set up a custom logo and exam user interface.
For candidates
- In a bilingual exam, both language versions of the question are available to you on the exam screen.
- If you only see one language, the exam was set up as single-language by your institute.
- Mock and main exams can be set up differently. Check with your institute before exam day.
Common questions
I cannot understand the configured language. What now?
Attempt as much as you can and report it to your institute straight after the exam with your exam name and roll number. Whether a re-attempt is allowed is your institute's decision.
Can I use a translation app during the exam?
No. Switching away from the exam window raises proctoring alerts and may end your exam.
Text looks broken or garbled.
Take a screenshot and send it to your institute, or email [email protected] with your exam name.
