Gen AI Exam Creation and AI question generation

The Eklavvya AI menu generates objective questions from a prompt or a syllabus, and Gen AI Exam Creation builds exams that draw those questions by sub-topic. These menus are enabled per institute — if you do not see them, contact [email protected].

1. Generate questions (Eklavvya AI > Question Generation)

1. Go to Eklavvya AI > Question Generation. The list shows your earlier requests with Subject, Topic, SubTopic, Question Count, Request Status and Request Date.
2. Click New.
3. Select Subject, Topic and SubTopic.
4. Review the Prompt. You can edit it, or click Revert To Base Prompt to start again from the default. Execute shows a sample Prompt Result.
5. Optionally add a Grounding Source URL for the AI to base questions on, and enter the Question Count.
6. Click Generate Questions. You return to the request list.
7. Watch Request Status: Yet To Start → Processing → Processed (or Failure). When it is Processed, click View Generated Questions to open them in Question Bank > Objective Questions. Review and edit them there before use.

2. Generate a question paper from a syllabus (Eklavvya AI > QP Generation)

1. Go to Eklavvya AI > QP Generation and click New.
2. Select the Product and upload the syllabus PDF (PDF only, up to 10 MB).
3. Verify the chapter and topic details extracted from the syllabus, then click Next.
4. Enter the Reference Book, Subject Name, Question Set Prompt and Grounding Source URL, and click Submit.
5. The View Question Paper list shows each request and its status.

3. Create a Gen AI exam (Exam Management > Gen AI Exam Creation)

1. Go to Exam Management > Gen AI Exam Creation and click New Exam.
2. General Settings has the same Basic / Question Type / Proctoring / Advanced tabs as normal exam creation: exam name, instant score view, review, exam type, duration, negative marking, per-question timer, randomise / shuffle, proctoring, navigation, schedule type and languages. 3. In Select subject(s), choose Subject, Topic, Question Type and Difficulty Level. You can then pick one or more Sub Topics and enter a Question Count for each (the screen shows how many questions exist under that sub-topic).
4. Enter how many questions to include from each marks group, plus any compulsory questions, and click Add Selection. Repeat for other topics.
5. Set the passing marks and click Generate Exam.

The Gen AI exam list has the same row actions as Exam Creation: question paper, Q.P. with answer, answersheet, details, edit, instructions, advanced configuration, delete and preview.

Tips

• Always review AI-generated questions and answer keys before putting them in a live exam.
• Generation runs in the background; large counts take longer. Refresh the request list to see the latest status.
