What user roles are supported in the admin panel?
For: Super Admins setting up their team
Each person who uses the admin panel needs their own user with a role. Roles decide which menu sections a user sees. You select your role in Login as on the sign-in page.
The video shows the earlier interface; role concepts are unchanged.
Roles
| Role | What it can do |
|---|---|
| Super Admin | Top-level user with access to all features, including creating other admin users. Only Super Admins see the Eklavvya AI Copilot widget on the dashboard. |
| Manager | Access to all features (question bank, exams, scheduling and more), but cannot create other users. |
| Exam Administrator | Defines exams, assigns candidates and schedules exams. Access to Question Bank, Exam Management, Exam Scheduler, Candidate Data and Results. |
| Subject Expert | Works on objective and subjective questions for assigned subjects, exam creation and exam results. No access to scheduling. |
| Branch Admin | Manages one branch: Subject, Topic, questions, Exam Creation and Exam Scheduler, Candidates, Proctor and Examiner dashboards and assignment, and Result. Some bulk actions (for example Bulk Add Time) are not available. |
| Observer | Read-only style access to Daily Exam Wise Status and Candidates (Batch, Branch, Candidates Data, logs). |
| Result Viewer | Access to the results of objective and subjective exams. |
| Examiner | Evaluates subjective answers and assigns marks. See Examiner features. |
| Proctor | Live monitoring of candidates, chat with candidates, and actions on live exams. See Proctoring dashboard guide. |
The sign-in page also lists Exam Supervisor, Proctor Admin and Candidate Management roles. Contact [email protected] to find out what these roles can access for your institute.
Create a user
- In the footer rail, go to Organisation → User Profile and click New.
- Select the Role (at least one), enter first and last name, mobile number, email, password and confirm password.
- Where relevant, select the Subject(s) or Branch the user works with.
- Save.
The User Profile list shows each user's role, status (Active / Inactive) and a 2FA column (Enabled / Disabled). Use Actions to import, export, enable or disable users.
Two-factor authentication
Two-factor authentication is mandatory for every admin user since 5 June 2026. Do not share logins: each person needs their own user and their own authenticator app. Super Admin, Branch Admin and Manager users see an Enable 2FA prompt until they set it up. See Two-factor authentication.
Audit
Actions by admin users are recorded in Organisation → Admin User Logs. See Candidate logs and admin user logs.
