Restrict candidate login to your institute's domain

For: institute admins

Domain restriction ties your institute to one candidate login domain, for example yourinstitute.eklavvya.com. Your candidates can then sign in only from that address. Any other candidate login domain refuses them. This stops candidates using a generic or wrong portal and keeps your exam links consistent.

Who it applies to

• It is opt-in and has been available since 10 September 2026. Eklavvya support turns it on when you ask.
• Institutes that have not opted in are not affected.

How to enable it

1. Email [email protected] with your institute name and the candidate domain you want to allow.
2. Before support switches it on, update every exam link, invitation email, notification template and instruction document to use your institute's domain (see the checklist below).
3. Support confirms once the restriction is live.

Admin checklist

• Exam links shared by email, SMS, WhatsApp or on your website.
• Notification templates (Communication → Notification Scheduler) and Send E-mail templates.
• Exam instructions, admit cards and PDFs given to candidates.
• Links in your LMS or portal.

What a candidate sees on the wrong domain

If a candidate signs in from another domain, a message appears at the top right:

"You are logging in from <domain>. This site is not allowed for login."

• No session is created. The form keeps what they typed.
• Their username and password are fine, so no password reset is needed.
• They only need to open your institute's correct URL and sign in there.

FAQ

Does this affect admin login?
No. It controls which domain candidates can sign in from.

Can we allow more than one domain?
Each institute is mapped to one permitted candidate domain.

A candidate says their password stopped working.
Check the address bar. If they see the message above, they are on the wrong domain. Send them your institute's link.
