How to add and edit subjective questions

For: admins and question authors

Add a subjective question

  1. Go to Question Bank > Subjective Questions and click New.
  2. Fill both tabs (fields marked * are required) and click Save question.

Tab 1 — Create Subjective

  • Subject, Topic, Question Type, Difficulty Level.
  • Additional Question Format — Text/Image based (image up to 3 MB) or Audio/Video based (mp3 / mp4, up to 10 MB).
  • Voice-based question — Yes lets you pick a voice-based question type.
  • Question — rich-text editor. Use the image button to insert an image From URL (paste a direct image link) or Upload File (JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP, max 3 MB), with an optional caption and size.
  • Question Marks — decimal marks (for example 4.12) can be used where your institute has decimal marks enabled.
  • Enter question in multiple language, Word Limit (maximum words a candidate can write), and Document (pdf, Word or Excel attachment).

Tab 2 — Advanced Parameters

  • Model Answer (up to 4,000 characters) and Model Answer Image — used by examiners and AI evaluation.
  • Include questions with paragraph? and Grouping.
  • Allow image upload in exam, Allow Video Answer Record in Exam, Allow Audio Answer Record in Exam — how the candidate may answer besides typing.

Edit a subjective question

  1. Go to Question Bank > Subjective Questions.
  2. Pick a Subject (and Topic) in the filter bar, or search by question or ID. Use the All / Active / Deactive tabs as needed. The list shows which answer uploads are allowed and whether a question is used in an exam.
  3. Click the Edit icon on the row (or open the question and click Edit question).
  4. The Update Subjective Question form opens with the same two tabs. Make your changes and save.

For questions already used in an exam, some fields such as the subject and marks may be locked.

Security note

New subjective questions are stored encrypted. Nothing changes in how you add, edit or view them.
