Offline AI: post-exam AI proctoring analysis

Offline AI runs the AI proctoring checks after the candidate finishes the exam, not while they are writing it. No AI calls are made during the exam. When the analysis is done, the results appear in the candidate's AI Report.

What Offline AI checks

Check	What it looks for
Face detection	Whether a face is visible in the captured frames.
Face comparison	Whether the face matches the candidate's verified photo.
Multi-person detection	More than one person in the frame.
Mobile phone detection	A mobile phone visible in the frame.

How it works

The candidate takes the proctored exam as usual. Video is recorded and shown to proctors with a short delay (the record-and-display proctoring mode, see Proctoring 2.0 dashboard).
After the candidate submits, the AI analysis starts on its own. You don't need to start it.
The AI Report is usually ready about 30 minutes after the exam ends. Large exams can take longer.

Prerequisites

Offline AI is turned on per institute on request. Email [email protected] to enable it.
It needs the record-and-display (delayed streaming) proctoring mode. This mode is already set for every institute that runs proctored exams.

FAQ

Can I trigger the analysis manually?
No. It starts automatically once the exam is complete.

The AI Report is empty right after the exam. Is something wrong?
No. Wait about 30 minutes, longer for large exams, then open the report again.

Does a flag mean the candidate cheated?
No. AI flags are there for a person to review. Check the images and video before you decide.

Retention: remote-proctoring images, audio and video are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically. See how long proctoring data is kept.
