How to upload image-based questions in bulk

There are three ways to get many image-based questions into the question bank.

Option 1 — Import from a PDF or Word question paper (recommended)

If your questions and their images are already in a document, the document import extracts the images for you.

1. Go to Question Bank > Import Data and choose Import Questions.
2. Upload the .pdf, .docx or .xlsx file and click Extract Questions.
3. In the review screen, use the dropdown under each image in Extracted Images to assign it to the right question.
4. Review the questions and click Save Question(s).

Option 2 — Question Bank Upload Tool (Excel + local images, Windows)

1. Go to Question Bank > Objective Questions (or Subjective Questions).
2. Click Actions > Question Bank Upload Tool (Bulk Question Bank Upload Tool on the subjective page).
3. Under Tool for import using MS-Excel, click Download and install the tool on a Windows machine.
4. Prepare an Excel template with the image paths from your local machine and upload through the tool.

Option 3 — Images hosted online

If your images already have public links, add questions one by one and insert each image with Insert Image > From URL in the question editor. See How to add objective questions.
