How to check subjective exam results

For: examiners and institute admins

Subjective (descriptive) answers are marked by examiners. The result is generated once all of a candidate's answers are checked.

Before evaluation: admin

  1. Assign candidates to an examiner under Examiner → Assign to Examiner. Assign to Examiner2 is for second evaluation. See assign examiners.
  2. Under Assign to Examiner → View Assigned Candidates, search by name, email or roll no. and remove selected candidates if needed. Bulk assignment supports more than 3,000 candidates.

Evaluating answers: examiner

  1. Sign in as Examiner. The evaluation expiry date for each assignment is shown.
  2. Select the exam and schedule.
  3. In the grid, click the Incomplete link under the paper checking status column.
  4. Read each answer typed by the candidate, including any attached images or uploaded files, and the exam document if the admin attached one.
  5. Enter marks for each answer. You can give full marks, partial marks, or mark the answer incorrect. Move between questions with the question buttons.
  6. To mark an answer as Extra, use the extra option. This helps with patterns like "attempt any 5 of 7" when a candidate answered all 7.
  7. When all answers are checked, click Finish Exam Checking. The system calculates the total and generates the result.

Where decimal marks are enabled for your institute, you can enter decimal marks.

Tracking progress: admin

  • Examiner → Examiner Dashboard shows Assigned, Checked and Pending Paper Count per examiner, the Paper Evaluation End Date (which you can update) and the last evaluation date. See examiner progress.
  • Result → Candidate Result → Exam Review shows the objective and subjective scores and the paper checking status for each candidate.

After marks change

Use Re-Generate Result on the Candidate Result page. It works after schedule expiry too. See check individual results.
