Top 4 Challenges to manage Online Exam Process

Common issues when running an online exam — and how Eklavvya handles them

Five real problems that come up during large-scale online exams, and the Eklavvya feature that addresses each. Click any row to jump to the relevant setup or troubleshooting article.

1. Identity verification — "is this really the candidate?"

Risk: someone other than the registered candidate takes the exam.

Eklavvya feature: Face + ID card verification at exam start, continuous face recognition during the exam, multiple-face detection. See remote invigilation process.

2. Cheating — "are they using another tab, phone, or notes?"

Risk: candidate switches tabs, uses a phone, reads notes, or has someone else in the room.

Eklavvya feature: AI proctoring detects object presence (phone, book, second monitor), tab-switch attempts, multiple voices in audio, looking away. Configurable as image / audio / video / 360° dual-camera proctoring. Set up via Exam Settings → Proctoring.

3. Internet drops mid-exam

Risk: candidate's network fails, candidate loses progress.

Eklavvya feature: Answers are auto-saved on the server every few seconds. Candidate logs back in, clicks Resume (not Proceed), and continues from the last saved question.

4. Multi-location / scale — "how do I manage 10,000 candidates across 50 centres?"

Risk: physical exam centres don't scale; co-ordinating evaluators is logistically expensive.

Eklavvya feature: Remote proctoring scales infinitely; no physical centres needed. Onscreen Marking digitises the post-exam evaluation. See university result processing.

5. Result publishing — "evaluation is taking weeks"

Risk: manual answer-sheet checking and result compilation delays publishing.

Eklavvya feature: Auto-graded MCQ / aptitude / coding results are instant. Descriptive answers can be AI-evaluated with human override. OSM digitises physical answer-sheet evaluation with auto-compilation. See OSM moderation and subjective exam flow.
